In partnership with The Community Safety Volunteers of Douglas County and the Highlands Ranch Wal-Mart, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is sponsoring the 2022 annual ”Christmas for Kids” shopping event.

The “Christmas for Kids” program invites children identified by Deputies and Employees of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office to shop with Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies. Donated funds are used to purchase gift cards. These are provided to each child, giving them the opportunity to buy holiday gifts.  Once the children arrive at the Wal-Mart store, they are paired with Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies for their shopping spree.  The program aims to provide less fortunate children with holiday presents and build a relationship with local law enforcement.

Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock states, “The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is once again honored to have the opportunity to brighten the holiday experience for these families, and our deputies truly enjoy shopping with these children.  This program allows Walmart and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office to unite and help make the holidays a little brighter for several deserving children and families.  It’s important that children have positive interactions like this with local law enforcement.

You can support this beautiful program with a contribution. 100% of the donated funds (after fees) will purchase Wal-Mart gift cards for the kids on this special day. Your donation is to the CSVA, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
